Monthly Events

HRP-MN Diversity Discussion Group

This Diversity Discussion Group has been facilitated by Lila Kelly for over 15 years and is co-sponsored by Human Resources Professionals of Minnesota (HRP-MN) and the Association for Talent and Development (ATD). Meetings are monthly and always the second Friday of the month, 8:30-10:00a.m. Details about these meetings can be viewed at:  lilakelly.com/diversity-discussion-group-report-2/.

The format of these meetings is a facilitated discussion about diversity. Attendees discuss, share experiences and upcoming events, and offer advice related to diversity issues in our workplaces and personal lives.

Forum on Workplace Inclusion

Held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Sponsored by the University of St. Thomas College of Business and the Twin Cities chapter of the National Black MBA Association. International Women’s Day Celebration

March events for International Women's Week. Celebrates the diversity of Minnesota women and offers educational programs that increase understanding and tolerance of the different backgrounds of women living in our community.

Festival of Nations

April-May, RiverCentre, Downtown St. Paul, MN
The Festival of Nations is one of the nation's largest and longest-running multi-ethnic events. It showcases Minnesota's ethnic diversity, celebrates ethnic traditions and encourages ethnic understanding. Shop the International Bazaar, Marvel at the Folk Artisans, Dine in Ethnic Cafés, Enjoy Continuous Cultural Entertainment, and Visit Creative Cultural Exhibits. www.festivalofnations.com.


May - June

Cinco De Mayo

Full day celebration on the West side of St. Paul. The fifth of May is an important patriotic holiday for Hispanics in the United States. On this day in 1862, the Mexicans defeated a substantially larger French army at the Battle of Puebla. http://www.cincodemayosaintpaul.com/

GLBT Pride Festival

Twin Cities Pride brings the greater GLBT community together to commemorate our diverse heritage, foster inclusion, educate and create awareness of issues, and celebrate achievements in equality. This event is open and inviting to everyone in the community. The Twin Cities Pride Celebration is scheduled a weekend in June. Located in Minneapolis' Loring Park. Featuring stages of live entertainment, food courts, fireworks, and a Family & Children's area, the Pride Festival is one of the largest Pride events in the United States.
